Diabetes Self-Management Program
Description
Learn about diabetes and take control of your health. This class is designed for people with a diabetes diagnosis. Participants will learn techniques to deal with the physical symptoms of diabetes, such as high and low blood sugar and fatigue. The class will also help participants manage emotional symptoms of diabetes like stress, depression, anger, fear, and frustration.
Participants may have two video visits with a registered dietitian during this program.
Diabetes Self-Management Program Details
Schedule: English: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. over six Tuesdays. Spanish: 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. over six Tuesdays. See our calendar.
Language: English and Spanish (separate classes)
Prerequisite: Diabetes diagnosis
Format: In person at La Clinica Wellness Center, 730 Biddle Road, Medford
Cost: Classes are free. Dietitian visits are free for Jackson Care Connect members or $40 each for non-members.
